Formerly controlled by Eletrobras; Âmbar Energia (J&F Group, the group behind JBS) received ANEEL approval and formally took over control of the concessionaire in April 2026, inheriting an approximately R$10 billion debt to Eletrobras and pledging R$2.3 billion in modernization investment through 2028. Sole distributor for Amazonas state including Manaus. No verifiable public status page found.
