Corsan
Privatized in a December 2022 auction won by a consortium led by Aegea (R$4.15 billion); Aegea assumed operational control on 7 July 2023. The company kept the Corsan name and legal entity after the ownership change (unlike Cedae/RJ, which was rebranded as 'Águas do Rio'). As of mid-2026, state oversight bodies report a large and growing number of complaints and legal proceedings over supply interruptions, billing, and metering issues since privatization.
